Church Business Meeting

A called Business meeting will be held immediately after the Worship Service to approve the following motions:

A. The Bylaws of the church state, “The interim pastor will not be considered for the position of pastor…” (Article VIII, Section 1, Paragraph C). Furthermore, Article VIII, Section 2 states that “the same procedures as set forth in the Bylaws for the calling… of the Pastor shall apply to Ministerial Staff.” The Deacons are recommending that this clause be waived in this instance. This recommendation has been concurred with by the Bylaws Committee.

B. Consideration of a recommendation by the Search Team and the Personnel Committee to call Alan Sledge as Music Director. This recommendation has been concurred with by the Deacons, Personnel Committee, and Stewardship Committee.
