At the heart of First Baptist Mooresville is a simple but unshakable conviction: every believer is called to live faithfully in service to Christ and His mission. The church is not simply a place we attend. It is a people called by God, transformed by the gospel, and sent into the world to make Christ known.
We are not saved to sit.
We are saved to be sent.

Serving.
We believe every follower of Jesus is called to participate in His mission. The Great Commission is not reserved for pastors, missionaries, or a select group of Christians. It belongs to the whole church.
We want to be a church that looks beyond its own walls. A church that sees the needs of its neighbors, cares for the hurting, proclaims the gospel, and takes seriously the call to make disciples of all nations.
Building
Community.
We believe loving God means loving His people. The Christian life was never intended to be lived in isolation.
We grow through relationships. We pray together, study Scripture together, serve together, and walk through life's joys and difficulties together.
Through Life Groups, Bible studies, student ministry, and opportunities to serve, we want every person to experience genuine Christian community.
Cultivating
Disciples.
Jesus did not simply command us to gather crowds. He commanded us to make disciples.
Our desire is to see people come to faith in Jesus Christ and then grow into mature, faithful followers of Him. We believe discipleship is a lifelong process of becoming more like Jesus.
We are committed to teaching God's Word, encouraging spiritual growth, equipping believers, and helping every generation follow Christ faithfully.

Look Like?
Discipleship is more than knowing information about Jesus. It is a life continually being transformed by Him. At First Baptist, we encourage six essential practices that help believers grow in faith and live out the gospel.
Worship
Living in devotion to God through prayer, Scripture, obedience, and a life that brings Him glory.
Witness
Sharing the good news of Jesus Christ and intentionally living as His witness wherever God places us.
Stewardship
Recognizing that everything we have belongs to God and faithfully using our time, resources, and opportunities for His purposes.
Service
Using the gifts God has given us to strengthen His church, meet needs, and demonstrate the love of Christ.
Scholarship
Growing in our understanding of Scripture, pursuing biblical truth, and learning to apply God's Word to everyday life.
Family
Living in authentic Christian fellowship, caring for one another, and growing together as the family of God.
