Our Story

First Baptist is over 125 years old, having begun with a vision and holding the first service by Mr. and Mrs. Andrew J. London on July 21, 1882. First Baptist has been associated with the North Carolina Baptist Association since its inception and spawned a second church, Southside Baptist, in 1912. 

After having successfully navigated several growth spurts through the generations, First Baptist is enjoying yet another expansion and looks forward to the plans that God has for us and you.
